Time: 7:30p-12a
Theme: "Midsummer Night's Dream" -- Dress as your favorite forest spirit (fairy, elf, fawn, nymph, or sprite) OR just dress in green!
If you are coming to the party tonight, here are some important updates to be aware of before attending. Please read them all as they are each important to us. FYI, there will be very little swing music played tonight, so if you are expecting a lot of swing dancing you will be greatly disappointed. Thanks for reading all the way through.

MEMORIAL DAY SWING HUDDLE

Most of us have tomorrow off work so why not make the most of your holiday weekend by hangin' @ Croce's downtown in the Gaslamp and listen to the smooth sounds of Warren Lovell and "Small Time Operator" better known as "Mr. Lucky"!!
Warren says he has some guest musicians sitting in with him tonight including a guy who used to play with Chet Baker!! Wow...good stuff. So if you don't know what to do with your Sunday night head to the Gaslamp, grab some dinner, hang with Mr. Lucky and have some good times

"Shadow Charleston" workshop: 7:15 - 8:30
Also known as tandem charleston - where lady is in front! Learn solid basics and " some cool variations sure to please! If you haven't quite mastered this yet or need some better variations, this one's for you!"
cost:$17/15 students (includes the dance)
Beginner Swing Class: 8:30 - 9:00

 Winner gets 2 FREE tickets to the Jive Aces Show on May 29th!
That's right, this Thurs. at the Firehouse, we're gonna host an all-new Swing Karaoke Contest on the Big Screen. We're looking for up to 6 closet crooners to come belt out their favorite swing/jazz tune for us dancers. You may bring your own Karaoke DVD/CD or choose from the limited number of songs that Roh and Carl have available.
Sign-ups start at 9p and the contest will take place at 10:30p. Audience picks the winner. Professional singers, musicians or musical theater people are not eligible to compete.
Good luck to all and I can't wait to discover our next Firehouse Idol!
