Several new beginners showed up for the lesson at 2pm. Fun group, though due to the Lindy Summit it was down about 1/2. Gary did an amazing job DJing, and Rachel, who brought homemade chocolate chip cookies last week, brought her peanut butter cookies yesterday. Sooooo good. We all had a really fun time, and many expressed to me how glad they were that we have this event here in SD. Even though it was a hot day, the breeze on the water made it so nice. Even I was surprised at how much cooler it was there than at my house in Clairemont, which is usually the same temp as the beach. Still, there were quite a few requests to go to the night time hours for the rest of summer. Last year I didn't go "Late Night" until the last week in July and then through August. But I'm thinking now we should start it up this coming Saturday on the 12th, and go 6 to 10pm through August, except for the last Saturday of the month, when Jim and Margie put on their "Last Saturday" at Dance North County. Whattaya think? |

"Late Nite" it is. This Saturday, July 12th, from 6 until at LEAST 10pm. |
