Please join us for an amazing day of workshops for only $15 you will learn:
A 20s Charleston Routine (12-1:30)
The Lindy Chorus (1:30-3)
A Big Apple Routine (3-4:30)

see 2PlySwing.com for full details

Classes will be held at the Pacific Beach Women's Club - 1721 Hornblend St

These special workshops are being held to have the SD Community help us perform at the Dance Festival in Balboa Park on August 24th. We will have practices between this Saturday and the performance - again, see website for details.

Even if you do not want to perform at Balboa Park, you can still attend and learn these great routines!

Sorry the thrill of getting stuck in traffic from here to Del Mar is not on my "exciting must-dos" for today...wish I could...I'm actually awake before noon!

In case Lindy by the Bay, BTO, the Big Band Concert at Navy Pier, F2, and Aubergine aren't enough for you this weekend, the Celebrate Dance Festival is this weekend at Balboa Park, and doesn't conflict with any of the events listed above!

Three swing groups are on the schedule:
Sat. Aug. 23, 5-6 p.m. Radioland Rugcutters
Sun. Aug. 24, 11 a.m.-noon San Diego Lindy Hop Society
Sun. Aug. 24, 1-2 p.m. 2PlySwing/2toGroove

All three are on the Outdoor Swingin' Stage, which will be somewhere in the vicinity of the Casa del Prado Theater, perhaps near the big fig tree. (Directions and map.) More info should be in this Thursday's Night and Day section of the Union-Tribune.

Today's U-T (Night & Day centerfold) confirms it's near the big fig tree north of the Natural History Museum; see the map. It's free.
