The Bad News: No more Lindy Loft! The Good News: So what? Let's celebrate LIFE, SWING and SOUL this Sunday at SD's hippest new club: The Kava Lounge.

Yup, another swing venture bites the dust. But after last week's tragic loss of Jake, the loss of another dance venue is really insignificant. After the initial shock and disappointment about losing the Lindy Loft subsided, all I could think was: Man, it's been awhile since I've been to a good party. So, my friends...IT'S TIME TO PARTY!

CafeSavoy.com and MergeEvents.com present our *SOUL SWINGERS* party. Part Soul, Part Swing, 100% HepSter Groove. Come dressed in your coolest threads, and shake your body down to the ground to the most hip-swaying, finger-snapping grooves in town.

Swing Purists Beware...This party ain't for the faint of heart! We will dare to go where no swing club has ever gone before. And with DJs Gage and Brian at the helm, you'll never know your soul will end up.

WHEN: Sun. Apr. 16th
WHERE: Kava Lounge (2812 Kettner, corner of Kettner and Olive, just past the Alamo Car Rental Lot).

AGE: 21-and-up...it's a bar!

Hey Meeshi,

Sorry to hear that Lindy Loft is no more. You had a good thing going there and I really enjoyed the lesson and the dancing. I am equally bummed that I missed last Sunday since it was the last one.

So, Kava Lounge... You say it is more of a "Dance Party" them a "Swing Dance" care to elaborate a bit? Are we talking hip hop and house grooves with "In the Mood" thrown in once or twice, or will there be a fair amount of swinin tunes to dance to?

Hey E -- I mean Mike -- I mean Big M... :-) It is a dance party like no other.. Little swing.. little soul.. all FUN.. I think it will be a little bit of everything.. The tunes they spin will probably have to do with how many butts are out on the floor at any given time :-)

You and Toni need to come to the lesson beforehand with me. It's right next door to the Kava Lounge.

Lynnda Darling,

As much as I would love to be there tonight I have to get everything packed and ready to go for Vegas this week. Toni and I leave in the morning and since this weekend was so busy with stuff we only have tonight to get it all together.

Please let me know how it turns out though. I really enjoyed Lindy Loft and can only hope that this is a good, or even better, replacement.
