The Bob Gordon trio is fantastic (and will be playing at Breakaway soon - a real treat for those who haven't heard them yet).
Peggy Clair is a great singer and attracts top notch musicians. Here's an email from her:

I'm singing this week with a group including Bill Hunter on a top-of-the-line Yamaha baby Grand piano and bassist Paul Gormley from Los Angeles and drummer Pete Bogle from Buddy Blue's band. He'll be playing a cool little jazz drum set and lots of brushes (so it won't be too loud!). The band is going to be swinging. You'll find all the information you need about the club (and a picture of me) in the attachment added to this note. This gig is scheduled to go on through July 23. However, Sundays have been dark in this room previous to my gig, so there aren't any regulars. I REALLY need a little help from my friends to keep this thing going!!!
