Hey All-

What information should be added to the Exchange website page to make it a "complete" resource?

Thoughts anybody?

Just to let everyone know, we're putting the finishing touches on our registration forms and will hopefully get it to shawn to post sometime next week! :D Dancers here will then have the chance to sign-up to host a visitor... if you're participating in any of Swing Break's events and have anything from an extra bed to some extra floor space, please volunteer to put up a dancer for the weekend! It's a great way to get to know someone from a different lindy community and make new connections and friends at the same time... plus it encourages more people to come since it makes things less costly for our visitors. Let's make them all feel welcome here in SD so they'll come back for more :) And if you're ever in their neck of the woods, they'd probably be happy to host you too!

Again as far as venues go, we are planning to have the friday & sat. nite dances & after hours at the NTC gym in point loma, sun nite's dance @ vasa hall and afterhours @ the firehouse. permits & late nite/early morning dances get a little complicated, so don't be surprise if we change the fri/sat nite locations!

evening dances will go from about 9pm-12:30am and afterhours dances will go from about 1am to 4 or 5 in the morning! don't worry though, you'll have time to sleep in before the next day's afternoon events.

day activities haven't been finalized yet. if you'd like to get in any suggestions, now's the time to do so... so far we're considering a beach area, balboa park, and mission bay...

also, please give us suggestions on a place to eat for dinner! someplace not too pricey, spacious (needs to fit 75+ people), and of course food that most people like (don't forget the vegetarians!)...

Melissa & I have been looking more into our afternoon "fun in the sun" activities lately - one prospective area is Horton Square (right next to Horton Plaza). It's a big empty space next to a tall business building and a McDonald's... lots of room... the floor's on the sticky side (pretty much cement-like) so we're thinking of spreading some corn meal & doing a major sweep-up afterwards :) it's not definite yet because they're asking for us to get insurance & guards & such, but we thought it would be nice to have something in and around the Gaslamp area... you all can grab lunch & hang out at the mall beforehand - dance the afternoon away - and then head on out to the gaslamp area for dinner! an alternative would be Balboa Park... we'd like to have a Beach/Park area for saturday afternoon too.
