Hey, I spotted this on another San Diego Website about swing (www.sandiegoswings.com). Anyone know about this? Note the key word for the first part: FREE!

The festival takes place in two parts. The first is an outdoor swing festival on Sunday, May 7, 2000 12pm to 5 p.m. It will be adjacent to the Inn Suites Hotel at El Cajon Boulevard and Louisiana Street. There will be a free dance lesson, a dance contest and live music by Jazz Trax and Hot Rod Lincoln. Vendors will sell food and vintage music and clothing; there will also be a car club display. The best part is, it's all free. The second part of the festival is a Swing Dance Party and Dance Contest Finals. It all takes place on Friday, May 12, 2000 from 7 PM to midnight in the Mississippi Ballroom at the Inn Suites Hotel, 2223 El Cajon Boulevard. Big Time Operator is the hot ticket for that night. $25 a ticket will get you food, fun, watching and/or participating in the contest finals and the best big band
