Tuesday night, 4/18, 8:00 pm, NBC
Third Rock from the Sun

The episode of "Third Rock From the Sun" that I did with my band is scheduled to air Tuesday
night at 8 PM on NBC. (Check your local listings for the time!) It's a very funny episode with John
Lithgow and all the aliens getting into a swing dance contest and trying to top each other. We
recorded "Sing, Sing, Sing" with the whole band, and I appeared onscreen with half a band,
including my good friends Lindy Hop teachers Rusty & Peter "playing" trumpet and sax. This
episode is not for Lindy purists, but it's definitely good for some laughs!

Bill was playing clarinet and leading a very abridged version of "Sing, Sing, Sing." The aliens were doing some decent steps (for actors that don't typically dance). What I was really concentrating on watching was the background dancers. I didn't recognize anyone clearly from the LA scene (who I thought would be invited to provide background). But then considering the caliber of dancing in the foreground of the main actors, I guess the LA dancers would outshine them by far!
