Dirty Boys Bucks Size 12-1/2 Medium
Dirt
Dirty Buck is a tan-sueded saddle shoe. These are hardly worn! Bought at a Stride-Rite store. Excellent condition - No spots, stains or skuffs. Still smells like leather! Very very slight wear on toe sole.

Bass Shoes are very high quality - known for their quality materials, workmanship, classic styling. Retail price $70
I can sell them for $29

Nancy,

I think the squirrel is developing a shoe fetish as well. It's driven him to the demon rum!

PS I have to admit the paisley Wedgie sling-backs look tres cool. Just need an outfit to match and the wearer will have the eyes of every gent in the room...

How can I buy the squirrel? It'll go with my Vodka chugging kitty cat.

Hmmm... Networking seems like a good place to run a lost and found.

I found a watch last night outside the Firehouse. It may have been dropped by a stranger, but I thought it was likely a dancer's watch so I kept it.

Ladies watch, analog, silver with a flower in the middle. If you lost it (or more importantly if you have a friend who doesn't read these forums but is talking about their lost watch) then email me.

Depends, what does your buddy teach...and knowing that he is one of your friends, is it even safe to allow this buddy near children?

There seems to be a shortage on Math and Science teachers in the Middle school/high school grades.

safe? he he. after seeing how fast he goes downhill on a mountain bike, i'm convinced he does have a few loose screws..

i wrote him to see what subjects. he certainly could teach German, no problem.

if i turns out he's got the goods in math/science, how does he proceed.. is there info online, a number to call, should i make a "will teach for food" sign and set him on the corner?

Okay, my roommate is moving out _very_ soon and my attempts to find a replacement are failing (I keep getting stood up for scheduled showings/interviews... I've had 3 people out of 10 scheduled actually show up in the last two weeks).

I'm totally out of options. Does anyone know of someone who'd be willing to live with me (separate bedrooms and bathrooms) in La Jolla near UTC at $730 starting as SOON AS HUMANLY POSSIBLE?

Here's a start:

Saw this in the print version of Kiplinger's last month:

That's all.

Michael, thanks for the webpage references about moving. Quite helpful.

An unrelated question, which I am posting here because I am not in any shape right now to figure out where it ought to go... What was the bebop piece that Meeshi played at the end of the Firehouse on Thursday? All that is coming to mind is Parker's Ornithology, but I think I'm off base. Can ya help me out here?

Well, You Needn't??

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message   By Lorien (Forest) on Saturday, May 25, 2002 - 03:57 pm: Edit

Meaning, the tune, "Well, you needn't". Not meaning "well, you needn't help me". I need all the help I can get.

Speaking of needing help... does anybody want to help me write code for estimating the coefficients and standard errors of a probit random effects model? (Getting the coefficients shouldn't be too bad--I'm mostly worried about getting the correct standard errors.) Monetary rewards are well within the realm of possibility. Please e-mail me if you have any interest in this, or know someone who might.

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message   By Lorien (Forest) on Monday, May 27, 2002 - 12:47 pm: Edit

Did I say probit? I meant tobit. A tobit model with random effects. I can't think straight anymore. I've got the probit model covered. Although I'm still having some trouble backing out the marginal effects, but... oh, shut up Lorien. Like anyone wants to hear about this.

Can I just say that sitting in front of the computer on Memorial day when the weather is so gorgeous is not my idea of a good time?

Hobbit code?

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message   By Lorien (Forest) on Tuesday, May 28, 2002 - 02:47 pm: Edit

So, I'm not just talkin' to myself here, eh? I was on a roll for a while.

Uh, yeah, sure... hobbit code. Probit, tobit, hobbit. I wonder what my advisor will have to say when I show him the hobbit model results.

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message   By HopMichael (Mhwang) on Wednesday, May 29, 2002 - 12:57 am: Edit

Sounds like the hobbit model is just a two-bit model to me.

You're not going to answer my earlier bop question, Michael?

Ah, Lorien, sorry, I know of the piece you speak; I know not the name of said piece. Ask Meeshi tonight....
