I don't mean to be rude, but the Jitterbug Stroll was created by Ryan Francois to be done to Woodchoppers Ball. Steven only wrote the song with instructions.

Definately Ryan Francois, but wasn't the song Flyin' Home II by Lionel Hampton? Man, that takes me waaaaaay back.

"knee slap knee slap and kick yourself in the back of the head..."

No, it was Woodchoppers Ball. I took the class from Ryan Francois, and he was very clear about who invented the dance, why, and to what song.

Rob--

I think you're thinking of the jazz routine Ryan Francois taught in the "Can't Stop the Lindy Hop" video, circa 1994.

Now that takes me waaaaaay back...

"do the eagle slide, kick-ball-change-cross-step"
