Did anyone else catch that AWESOME Louis Prima documentary on AMC last night? I learned so much! It discussed his life from early on in New Orleans to his time in New York, Las Vegas, and finally back in New Orleans. It had vintage footage of performances with him, Sam Butera, Keeley Smith, and even one of his other wives that sang with the band (whose name escapes me now.) The documentary was followed by the feature film "Hey Girl, Hey Boy" starring Louis, Sam, and Keeley. Because it's on cable, I assume that it will be repeated several times this month, so I strongly suggest to anyone who is a Louis Prima fan to research when it will be replayed. Oh ya, I also recorded it :) If anyone is interested in borrowing my tape, let me know! |

If you lend it to me, Amy, I can copy it for anyone who wants a copy. What do you think? Can I borrow it on Thursday at the Firehouse? Anyone wanting a copy could bring a blank tape with their name on it and I could bring the copies Sunday to the Marriot or next Thursday to the Firehouse. Jane |
