One of the best deals in town is hearing Marty Conley's "Big Band Express" rehearsal over at the Danza's Pavilion at the trailer park on Mission Bay. They rehearse every Wednesday night from 7 to 9 p.m. There's some room for dancing. The band's great. The audience is appreciative...and there isn't any charge. If they aren't rehearsing for a special gig, they'll event take requests from the crowd. |

Tami Thomas is scheduled to be at the Belly Up Happy Hour this Saturday night. If you haven't caught a show there, I highly recommend it. It attracts a WIDE range of ages, is a friendly crowd, and everybody loves Tami! |

Benno and I spoke with Tami Thomas Sunday afternoon at the Belly Up (the Chicago 15 show -- fantastic). She is very unhappy that the younger dancers have not been at her recent shows. She plays next at the Belly Up Happy Hour show in one week (Saturday, May 27th). I hope some of the dancers who have appreciated her music in the past can show up and support the band! |
