Robbe Smith wrote: Hello, I am e mailing people who might be interested in a huge collection of Swing/Big Band music that is for sale on e bay. The auction ends on August 16th. We are not professional sellers, this is my father's lifetime collection. It is a true, one time offer. It is an unbelivable collection of records, tapes and books. Please check out the auction if you are interested, or tell someone who might be. I am sorry if this is considered spam, don't mean to bother you, just trying to help my dad. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=405774709 Thank you. Robbe Smith |

Let's take a collection!! |

It looks like the high bid right now is by the owner of Memories! |

He's wasting his money then if you ask me. |

Why do you think so Reuben? Is the collection not worth having? |

I get the feeling from what is briefly listen on the "more detailed" list that it's going to be a lot of "square" pop material from the era. Kinda like what gets played on the KIIS-FM's of today. Also, it look like a bunch of it isn't even Jazz recordings. While there might be a few gems in this collection, I doubt the collection as a whole would interest me. |

And box set after box set of remastered Hi-Fi big band recordings. Probably loads of Les and Larry Elgart, Stan Kenton, late Bing Crosby and such. |
