Has anyone seen the recent Lexus ad on TV? There's a great song playing in the background...Shoo-Fly Pie? Does anyone know who's singing this song? I heard on JJ that it might be Dinah Shore, but no one seemed to know for sure.

You're welcome. I agree-- it's so cute and homespun. Another good song on a car commercial recently: "Enjoy Yourself (It's Later Than You Think)" for the Mercedes C-Class.

I saw those commercials and they caught my attention, too! And it was the music that made me come out from the kitchen and make me notice them.

I used to work for Lincoln-Mercury's ad agency... I guess old jobs die hard!

Wow, I could have used that song in my food-theme swing CD!

My thought when I first saw/heard the commercial was "Wait a minute... that's not on my food cd!"

Ahh, such a civilized thread. I think I'll try to get that CD on Amazon now...

Is that the commercial where the guy is told he's "only got 40, maybe 50 years
left at best"? I love that one! Good message in it, too! No matter how much
life we've got left, it's all too short. Gotta live it the best we can each day!

It is, indeed. Then he runs out and goes skinny dipping and drives around in his new Mercedes in the nude. Gotta love it.

Life is too short to not make the most of every day. Good medicine for the other not-so-civilized thread, in my opinion.

So does that mean you want to go skinny dipping?

For shame Ron! ;-)

So Shawn have you bought the cd yet?

It means I dig spontaneity.

Aletha, do you think Ron was "implying" anything by that question, or was he simply raising the question to give me the "benefit of the doubt"?? Ha ha.

Eden-Ron's motives are something I'd rather not delve into, but for the record, I LOVE skinny dipping!

I'm with Alrtha on that one. From the boat trip and past beach parties, I would say that Aletha and I are not the only ones guilty of this pleasure.
He, he, he.

discoved! Skinny Dipping! Whoohoo!!!!

....And if you want to do the ultimate in nude bathing, try skinny-snorkeling!

Just once. It was quite a liberating experience!

Tip to men: best to do in tropical locals to minimized shrinkage, unless you feel making that appendage less prominent (and therefore less noticeable) to sea life is a good thing.
