Hi Everyone! My sister is getting married in June and asked me to come up with some good, classic, swing tunes that are good for a first dance at the wedding. I'd greatly appreciate any and all suggestions. They are not really dancers, so probably slower tempos would be best. Thanks, Karen |

Benno and Karen, who were just married, played L.O.V.E by Nat King Cole for their first song. Nice slow/mid tempo super romantic song. Other suggestions: The way you look tonight,Frank Sinatra PaperMoon, Nat King Cole It had to be you, Harry Connick Jr. |

Liz is the expert on wedding first-dances! You could ask her. Bad choices (all blues songs, anyway): "Never trust a woman" by Louis Jordan "Too Many Women, Too Little Time" by I forget who "Big Mouth Woman" Rob Rio "I Want a Big Fat Mama" "200 lbs of fun" |
| |
Ha! Very funny Ron. |
| |
another bad choice: country song: "if my wife were a fish, i'd throw her back" actually, i think the real title is " if today were a fish, i'd throw it back" |

I've already got mine picked out... I mean "ours" |

The Original Fables of Faubus by Charles Mingus or Put Your Banana In My Fruitbasket by anyone....that's a great song that's bound to give them pointers on their wedding night. just in case they're virgins or something...you know. |
| |
you're the only fruitbasket i know, with that wham!-do and all ~8^) |

im like samson....only instead of strength, dancing powers flow from my hair, or wham doo in the parlence of you're vocabulary. |
