That site closed shop. The people who ran it were fad hoppers, and as well all know, Swing is no longer in fad mode. |

I didn't notice this - I liked that site! It was well designed. They ran it (and held events) for several years. More than just for a fad, but maintaining a site can be quite time consuming. Speaking of which, any voluteers to help with the calendar?!?! |

I too thought swingset.net was well designed, and I was disappointed to see it go. And as far as the people who ran it being "fad hoppers," I know that at least one of them was and is very into rockabilly/western swing and not a fad hopper by any means. If you want to say they weren't swing purists, I wouldn't argue with that. I think the emphasis on that site was more on the rockabilly, even though they did list Memories, the Derby, etc. But it was a nice looking site and was kept up to date for the most part. |
