He shared some great stories about being in the service during WWII. First he was an Army grunt from 1939-1942, then he transferred to the Air Force, serving as a tail gunner in a B-17 and a B-24 named 6 O'clock Joe (1943-1946), flying missions over France and Germany.
It was a nice addition to my breakfast sandwich!
