Its more fun to be positive about things, so how about this. Everyone write a sentence or paragraph about what you like about Amy Lawrence (teacher Amy). I'll start. I think she is an awesome follow, and now she's gotten unbelievably groovy after spending 9 or so days in Herrang, with the Swedes! Groovy, baby! |
| |
I love her level change on the 7&8 of her swing out, and her infectioud laugh. |
| |
I love Amy's hugs! |
| |
I watched her dance with a number of leads last night and she adapted to each of their styles. It was very impressive. I look forward to many more great dances with her! |
| |
Amy's quick-stops totally rock! And her frame, what a frame, this lead has no problems taking her through any moves/hesitations he can throw at her. Did I forget to mention her wonderful upbeat attitude? |

"Best Lindy Smile"! |
| |
Amy is not only one of the most beautiful, talented, and positive people I have ever met, but also, she can bust out one of the most amazing quick-stops this town as ever seen. This girl is a joy. She leads, she follows, she knows the air speed velocity of an unladen swallow. Amy, you are first on MY list baby (hee hee). ~Lorraine |

Amy is a WONDERFUL dancer (So I've heard, though I haven't had the pleasure), has a wonderful smile (So I've heard), and has an awesome quick-stop (Also, so I've heard). I do know for a fact that Amy roots for Susan on Survivor, which worries me to no end.... But, considering all the fabulous things I've heard about her, I wouldn't dream of voting her off the island.... The Tribe has spoken... |

Amy is a wonderful travelling companion and a close trusted friend, she is always fun to dance with and to be around, and I consider her one of my dearest friends..thanx Amy ~Mark |
| |
And I like the way she screams... |
| |
Excuse me? |
| |
Ron, the screaming thing is just for you.... Thank you, everyone. I'm humbled and honored, and really embarrassed. I don't feel worthy of such wonderful sentiments. You are all such good friends, I am truly blessed. As they taught me in teacher school, let's re-direct this conversation to a lovely lady who will be leaving this city in the next few days. As you all know, Lorraine will be departing very soon. I think that she is a kind, beautiful, and wonderful person, and she has the COOLEST dance style around. Let's send her off with some warm wishes. Thanks again everyone! Now talk about Lorraine! |
| |
Firstly, I'm devastated that she's leaving. Lorraine is an incredibly fun person to be around, plus the girl has a brain and knows how to use it. I just click with her on so many levels in what I think and believe in. I remember driving up to Huntingdon beach with her one Sunday morning (Eddie Reed concert). I was really glad that I'd forgotten the face plate to my car stereo. We talked and talked and talked there and back. Will miss you Loarraine, much love Aunty Nat. P.S. Are you going to the Firehouse tonight, girl? |
| |
I chatted with Lorraine a bit ago on the phone... She sounded like she is indeed planning on being at the Firehouse! I was trying to talk her into an Extraordinary Desserts outing beforehand, but I have not yet succeeded. Anyone want to help with some well intended peer pressure? ;) |

Loosing Lorraine is as hard as seeing Luis go to Atlanta. Great dancer, yes, but an even better person. People like Lorraine are the reason I dance. Seattle is so blessed to have her. I've prepared HepJen up there for the treat they're in for. You better get into Swingout Northwest, Lorraine! Don't lag on your registration. It will sell out in the first few days!!! You did hear that George Gee is doing New Years Eve, right? I expect to see you in my birthday dance at 12:01!!! I hope you can make the Firehouse one more time!!! Hope to see you tonight!!! |
