Well, talking of favorites is always a dangerous thing, because it's quite easy for someone's feelings to be hurt if they aren't included... so let me preface this by saying that there are MANY follows in San Diego that I love to dance with. I always have fun on the floor with my partner, and hangin with everyone after. But, it's undeniable that there are follows that you'll feel more comfortable/secure with or that better match your personal groove or feel. Susie Q, or Twirly as she's affectionately known is one of my favorites. Our groove really syncs together, she understands me. Plus, she makes me feel really comfortable, and I'm not afraid to go out on a limb and try new stuff or improvise. Meeshi is another of my favorite follows. He really challenges my musicality and my dance. Sometimes, as a follow, he'll take the lead on improv. it's fun to follow... and when we both hit the same stuff... it's awesome. Tertia is another of my favs. Especially on the faster, higher energy stuff. Our bounce matches just right, she has great tension, and killer footwork. Plus, sometimes she'll let out this little giggle that cracks me up! Michelle (sp?) is another of my favorites. She has great tension, and she's always smiling, just plain fun to dance with. As a bonus, she always has something nice to say at the end of dance.. makes me feel good. Finally, (you had to see this one coming) my new found favorite is Emmy. The flirtation of the dance goes to a deeper level, the connection just feels awesome. I get swept away to place where it's just the music, the dance and the two of us. (oblivious to the world, as Charlie said) what can I say? (I know, barf) Plus, incredibly she can follow most anything (even visual leads) even though she's only been Lindying a short time. ~8^) I'm sure all that's way more info than you ever wanted to know, but hey.. I'm bored at work today, and I'm listening to George Gee... getting my groove on. Peace, Hitman |

Last night, I had the honor of dancing at Papa Jack's with Susan Bondi of Charlie and Susan fame. All I can say is: Charlie, I'm jealous! Great frame, great response to goofy improvised leads, great musicality... Hey, I realized again why I love this great dance! I also realized why you two are the best! And from a mildly embarrassed lead, thanks for asking ME to dance, Susan! |

Hey Mike, Susan is unforunately still not on-line. So she asked me to thank you for the great dance. She says she enjoyed herself thoroughly. Your musicality is looking good, man. And I'm glad I could entertain everybody by anticipating that break :) |
