I'm curious. We had a couple of San Diego dancers up here in Triple Triple Step Land tonight(Memories). I like to put names to faces, but I didn't go introduce myself. It was a brother and a sister, both kind of tall. They're Hollywood style I think. I just wondered what their names were. It will bring me one step closer to world domination. Not to mention I can use it to out wit the wiley, nefarious character known as Shadow Charlie(cue scary music).

That would be Jake and Amy Faust. They have just joined the Swivel team. They are good people and Jake is a Shag daddy!!!! He's my favorite guy to shag with (shhhh don't tell my husband, wink wink).
Hey Tofu, I thought you were going to grace us with your presence at the North County contest? What happened?

I had the misfortune of going to a fundraiser for Congressman Calvert. I got some good refreshments. That's about it. I'll be down at some point in the near future.

Hey, I showed Mark what you wrote about the contest. He said to tell you thanks for the kind words.

Cool, I had a lot of fun dancing with Mark. I hope Trina doesn't feel bad. I thought she was great, but I've seen her dance better, like Camp H and even Memories. Who did most of you guys learn from? I would guess Mark learned from Erik? I could be wrong, I just detected a little different lead than I get from Peter. I've never danced with Erik, so I don't know for sure!

Mark and I both took one private from Erik. We also took one workshop. That's all the formal training we've had. We've been pluggin' away at swing for about 6 years now. Lindy has been about a year and a half of that.

p.s. He had his lead before he ever took a lesson.

Tomorrow Night, Thursday 8/24, is Jive Junction night at Memories of Anaheim. Peter Loggins MIGHT be standing-in in the DJ booth for a while, so come prepared to get groovy 1939 style! HA HA HA!
