Its fun to see which San Diegans will show up at TJs on any given night. It was great seeing you, Nat! I don't see you very often on the weekends when I'm in SD. Amy, it was a pleasure as always to see your beaming face! Dr. Chin is eagerly awaiting a dance with you. ;-) Actually, I didn't introduce you guys to get you to dance together - I was just trying to include everyone in the conversation. He is one of my favorite dance buddies. He also has a very light lead. Maya and Nat were burning up the floor, dancing together to "Fire". |

That was the best dance of the night for me! Man that was fun! Love that song... And watching Jason almost spontaneously orgasm over anything Nat lead, or maybe it was just over Nat in general, was funny. Amy, you rule! I still can't believe you've only been dancing under a year. (Nat and I were sweetly seething jealousy while watching you and Jason dance to Michael Jackson.)Glad you two came up. Good friends and good advice on buying pants. Don't get much better than that! |

Amy, you're making me blush! I love being a girl lead. Even though I suck I get to dance with all the great follows cause their friends. I think we should tie Amy's legs together for a few months so she can't dance and get any better and show us up even more. Maya, you hold her down, I get the duct tape. For those of you who haven't been to TJ's it's got a reallt great atmosphere, nice range of music, a pretty decent floor, a bar some really good dancers and....jam circles!! |

Bad Kitty - thank you for introducing me to the "Dr", he was indeed light and fun. (I have to give him props for dancing w/ us tall follows) Maya & Nat & Bad Kitty ~ thank you so much for encouraging me .. I'm definitely in a slump, though, but I'm hoping the workshop w/ Kevin & Carla will jump start me again. But if I looked ok dancing w/ Jason, its cause he's willing to dance with me everytime I'm up there. (helps having a steady lead) oh and PLEASE don't duct tape me, I'll lose heart! |

I think Gene is driving besides me. Which means he'll prob have Sherri & Shawna.... I am planning on driving (Carli & Deidra) but since I'm on call for my night flight Deidra said she could drive if I'm flying. The thought would be to meet at the park&ride off of Vista Way West (right after 78east) around 8ish |

That jam for Natalie at Tia Juana's was HUGE! When Shesha announced to everyone that she was going home to England for good, not only did it get a collective "OH" from the crowd but all the best leads from OC and LA stepped up and gave Nat a big send off dance or two. It was funny to watch some of the guys fight off one another to get a chance to dance with Nat. Few were lucky to even get a full two eight counts in with her! Even Sailor Mike and Tip West from LA and Shesha got in there. I knew I would get my chance to dance with Nat later at the Firehouse, so it was best for me to stay out of the fray and enjoy the show from the sidelines. Whether she was following or leading, she was looking really good out there and having a real good time of it. Nice to see one of our own get that kind of response outside of San Diego. Miss HepNat is not only a very cool person and a fun dancer, but she's perhaps one of our best ambassadors our scene had. By this Monday, we will all miss her so. :-( |

Speaking of Tip, Tip and Mike's Swing Pit will be taking over Tia-Juana's one time only this Wednesday night! If you haven't been to their Saturday night gig up in Glendale, you're in for a treat! They'll be bringing their brand of swingin' tunes and fun as far south as they've ever been. I'll be driving up with Sherri and I can take three more people in my car. Who else is going? |

Yes, I'll offically say that Tip and Mike's Swing Pit will be taking over this week for Shesha and Terra at Tia Juanna's! Tia Juanna's is located off of the Sand Canyon exit on the 5 freeway behind the La Quinta Inn. It's address is 14988 Sand Canyon, for more info check out http://www.swinginfo.com Swing Pit is one of my favorite LA venues due to the quality of both the promoters and the music. Everyone should try to make it out to TJ's this week to check it out! |

chris? ummm... sure... if i'm driving, i'd have to go your way anyways. Then again... if more people want to go... my car is not the best bet... especially for all of San Diego's extraordinarily tall lindy hopper's. on a side note, any of you seen Jordan and Tatiana dance (Westies)? Dude, they are awesome! They don't even look all that westie, you know the cheesy disco look and flapping hips, they look like westie + hollywood style (and hip hop), at least from what i can tell of other westies i've seen.
