Few people know it yet but the most well updated calendar for ALL of southern California is on http://www.swinginfo.com

Hiromi, a passionate dancer keeps it 100% updated and includes many more events than even lindy hopping.com which is considered nearly perfect. And it is all in a calendar format, rather than a list.

Ya know I never thought of it that way. So this Shesha guy busts his hump setting up venues for folks to dance at. Then he spends time recruiting bands and DJ's to supply music. He spend more time and money for promoting the event. But then the selfish bastard want's a cut of the take for his work?? Oh I am sure that he will tell ya that it's because he and his wife want a roof over their heads and a meal or two each day, but anyone that watches Survivor know we don't need that any more. And as far a roof goes there should be plenty of cardboard boxes around with the whole big screen TV craze that's happening now a days. And if ya set up that box at a public beach then ya don't even have to pay rent.

Comon Shesha, quit being so self serving. Just do all the work and give everything away. People will start calling you the Robin Hood of the San Diego swing scene. Hey instead of Sherwood forest you could set up your TV box in the Cleveland National Forest.

I can't stand it when people bag on others trying to make a living out of what they love to do. shesha is awesome and he works very hard and provides southern cali with some great venues.

Chance Harper? Was that from that tv show...What was it? Sliders...or the time travel one with the hologram guy...Or is that your real name?

Inquiring minds want to know...

By the Way: www.nocturne.com has most of the venues in LA.

When I lived in LA, I swore by "Margie's list": http://www.lindyhopping.com/thisweek.html You can even have the week's events emailed to you by joining the mailing list.

Jive Junction's calendar page sucks major ass right now. I just updated it to show April and May 2002... but didn't have a chance to add anything to it. I did add a new tune to that front page though. Oih, I'm to busy making a REAL living to keep up with the thing.
