Hey people, If you haven't checked out The Rhythm Room, this Friday will be the perfect night to do it. Kevin and Carla are flying in Friday afternoon so we'll be bringing them out Friday night to dance!!! This will be a great opportunity to meet them, watch them dance, and have some fun. I was there Friday night. Small crowd. Very nice floor. Good DJ. (I left just as Jeremy was finishing up.) One problem was the Art Obstacle Course, but hopefully that was temporary. I don't normally make it out on Fri nights, so I'm not sure how often I'll make it, but you should check it out. |

The art was displayed for the San Diego Art Walk and will not be there from now on. Actually, I'll miss it. There were some great paintings on display (better than the beheaded nude portraits at Clayton's). Don't miss this Friday: Kevin and Carla will probably stop by. Also, heavy DJ rotation with Jeremy, Brian and myself. |

Yeah, the art was fine. It was just the way it was placed, so as to block most of the ways into the room, that was the problem. Art I like. Art that is in my way, I don't like... LB, the look on that man's face when you tripped over the the stand was priceless! As long as the art wasn't damaged, it was ok... |

I agree. It's cool. I stopped by at 11:30 and I like it. I think the "vibe" now is really nice. Huge dance floor in great condition. Lots of seating. I wish the lighting over the seating wasn't so bright and fluorescent. But the dance floor lighting is just right. It's a great room. |

Just so this pops back up for topics... Anyways people should go this place. Its a really nice venue, just uhhh... the lack of people kinda sucks. I didn't realize how much lindy feeds on people dancing and having fun! I went i dunno a week or two ago and this place felt lifeless cause there weren't that many people there, i just couldn't get into it. Maybe its the size... or maybe the fact that i can breath and i'm not dripping sweat like at the firehouse. Let's turn the thermostat up at this place so that people will think its the firehouse. heh---David |
