Should we try a few more evenings 7 to 10pm? Any interest out there with the SFX going on? At this point, I'm leaning towards having it anyway. I just can't decide on the time. Feedback? |
| |
So, Heather, your sister, Cari, is coming with you? (hee, hee) |
| |
There are a lot of people not going to SF this weekend. So, I'd love to have LBTB running this weekend. I like evening LBTB... But I'm happy with what others want to do. |
| |
Late LBTB! |
| |
Yes, Jeff, I think you'll find that there are plenty of us staying in town this weekend. I vote for the evening LBTB, too. |
| |
late LBTB! |
| |
late sounds fine. |
| |
Jeff, Cari is not! It is another special someone. My preference as far as LbtB even though I wont be here to enjoy it this weekend, LATE! It is so nice. It's just late enough to where if you still want to go out,you can, or if your like us Jeff, you can reserve a whole restaurant and sing really loud! |
| |
Okay, so it's "Late Night LbtB" this Saturday, 9/22/01. But I'll need help. I can get the stuff down there and set up, but I'll need some people to help DJ and then break down everything and load it!!! You could use my car and then just leave my car at the Hilton and I can pick it up later. I have a call into Tertia, who I've trained on the set up/break down. Luis, you big strong man, you!! Feel the "call", brother??? Call me: 619.339.7117. Thanks. |
| |
Rumor has it that David Francis is to shy to invite himselft to DJ, but if available would accept an invitation. |
| |
Jeff, I can help loading the equipment at the end. I can also DJ some. |
| |
I can help with the equipment too. --KC |
| |
Thanks! But I do have it covered for Late Night LbtB this Saturday, the 22nd! Help is always appreciated however. I'm going to start at 6pm just in case it gets cold later on and everybody wants to end it at 9 or so and go do something else. Of course, if you all are having fun and want to stay til 10pm we'll keep it going. |
| |
Is LBTB on for this Saturday? I wondered if it would be pre-empted by the Maritime Heritage dance. |
| |
Yes, from 4 to 7pm. We do need to return to our daytime format with the Fall season upon us. And I did go ahead and make the move now to accommodate those wishing to attend the Maritime dance. I'll do a headliner post announcing this today. Thanks for you interest. Who are you anyway? You don't have a profile page yet on Swingorama and I don't recognize your "handle". |
| |
Jeff - I'm Diane. (I "won" the beginner level contest at Clayton's on Friday.) |
| |
Jeff- Is LBTB back on for this weekend? I hope you make the move to afternoon this weekend. It was kinda cold last time, and I can't make it late this week anyway. Incidentally, Meeshi has a couple of the CD compilations I've made for you in his collection. He thinks its because you leave them in the machine. So if you are missing CDs, you should check with him. |
| |
I continue to love LBTB, thanks for putting it on, Jeff, I know its a lot of work! |
| |
Thanks, Ron. Yes, I agree. It did get cold last Saturday evening. And people do seem to have a lot going on this "Holloween Weekend". So it's probably a good weekend to move it back to the afternoons, especially since we loose "daylight savings" this weekend. (Although I believe we don't make the change until Saturday evening). I'm thinking 1 to 4pm. I just need to confirm a few things before I post the time change. |
| |
LBtB will be from 2pm to 5pm this Saturday. It should be alot of fun. Jim and Margie are bringing a tons of pumpkins down for us to carve. Ron, can you DJ? |
| |
probably. |
| |
As Jeff mentioned, at LBTB we will be dancing and carving pumpkins that Margie & Jim are providing. Become and expert pumpkin carver, checkout these links that have carving instructions and patterns. "LINDY BY THE BAY" will resume Saturday, Decembers 29th from 2 to 5pm during the San Diego Lindy Exchange! And we'll try to keep it going weekly thereafter, weather permitting. Some folks have really missed it, but there's been so much going on in November and December that a break was needed to make room for it all. I've missed it personally and am looking forward to dancing by the water again. Jeff |
| |
yea jeff!!! thanks so much for putting LbtB together. you are greatly appreciated! |
| |
Yeah! I'm excited to see LbtB happening again! Thank you so much Jeff for all your effort and willingness. It'll be fun to maybe re-introduce it to local dancers at the New Year's exchange... maybe it'll draw them out another time. Let me know if you need any help for the following weekends. |
