Man, I already have 3 good version of Love Me or Leave Me I play regularly, but I'll check it out...

Hey, how about that version of Fever I played last night? I'm really excited about that song, its so unbelievably groovy. Its got this saxophone that sets such the mood.

Hey Shawn, are your knees healed up yet? You only have a couple more weeks...

We limped around the dancefloor at MR last night. It was ugly, but fun!

The Firehouse is NOT open on the 4th of July right? Oh hey, is there dancing ALL day at Mission Bay? Cause I think i'm a big enough lindywhore at this point to do that... be there all day... cause i have no life... and nothin' else to do with my day. Anyone else gonna be there for a sizable amount of time?---David

I think I'm going to be there most of the day.

The Firehouse was sure happening last night. What a great crowd! I think there was 90-100 people at peak. It was hot hot hot, though. I hope everyone that wanted to got a chance to dance with Amy for her birthday and Natalie for her going-away, I gave 'em each two songs...

Thanks to Jeff for bringing his DJ setup, the house DJ player in the Firehouse is semi-broken, so Jeff set his up instead, showing once again that he is the unsung hero of the San Diego swing scene..

Thanks for the going away jam, Ron, and thanks to everybody, guys, girls, leads and follows who came in and danced with me.
I've had such a wonderful time on the lindy scene in both SD and all round the states. Life before lindy now seems somewhat unfeasable.
Last night was my final night of dancing in San Diego before I leave.
I'm already planning on going to the Austin exchange (cause Austin exchanges kick booty, big time), and I'm sure I'll be back in SD to visit one of these days.
If any of you ever find yourselves out in the UK gimme a holler: natalie_g_roy@yahoo.com (travel off peak and you can get return flights for about $300).

I think of you all whenever it's cold and rainy.

Much love
Nat

Hope to see a good turn-out at Firehouse tonight. I'll be DJing my regular every-other week shift and I have no idea what I'll play, but it'll be good stuff.

Charon was scheduled for knee surgery this week.

Many of you know him as the tall older dancer who brings in water bottles to quench the sweaty dancers' thirst.

He was one of the first dancers I met when I came to San Diego and he welcomed me warmly. He has always been one of the "behind the scenes" people who make the San Diego Lindy Hop community such a friendly and inviting place.

Please join me in wishing him a speedy recovery!

-Hop "Torn Meniscus" Michael

I second the speedy recovery! Hope you can come join us after your surgery. Thanks for being a part of our scene, and of course quenching our thirst. :)

All the best to you,
Cari
