This little lady use to call the San Diego swing scene her home....danced to rock-a-billie, blues, etc. and actually still does. She moved to LA, and the world became a better place for all of us to dance! Alecia! Come Home! OK, never mind....I'll move there!  |

Ron - Mel and I got a Christmas CD from a guy who plays with Steve "Something" from LA. Apparently he's pretty big and the CD rocks. You'll have to check out the CD prior to playing at 3RD SAT SWINGS to see if you would like to play one or two. See you later |

What bands do we want? Hmm....I'm looking forward to hearing Campus Five at the 3rd Saturday in February. I'm assuming that Lavay, Casey MacGill, Bill Elliott, George Gee are out of our price range? It would be fun to have a Steven Mitchell workshop again and have his band play that Saturday night. I wonder if his band is still playing at all. "Victrola" was awesome at the Austin Exchange. Josh and the Feetwarmers are fantastic, but we'll be hearing them soon again at the LA/OC exchange. Barbara Morrison at our exchange will be unbelievable. So cool. |
