Okay, the weather is supposed to be great. Is anybody else up for a LBtB this weekend? I can do it if LOTS of people are into it. I'll decide by noon tomorrow based on interest and response. If you want to do it, I'll bring flyers announcing it as well to the Firehouse and Cafe Savoy. Lemme know. |
| |
I'd be more likely to make it if you let it run till 6:30-7, Jeff. Pleeeeease?? I'm looking forward to dancing on a margarita high in the fresh air after a hard day's work! |
| |
Why'd you have to do that, Laurel? "margarita high"..."fresh air"...? Now I'm torn, Satin Ballroom or LBTB? |
| |
I have to work! (insert whiny tone). Mini me (Vanessa) will be in town and will probably go. Also, Deb and Jon from Denver will be in town and if they aren't taking privates, they will most likely try to go before the Satin Ballroom. I can't remember their schedule. |
| |
Ron, can you DJ? |
| |
Anyone willing to help me set up? I hurt my back last week. It's almost completely better, but I don't want to do too much lifting yet. I'd need one or two people to meet me at my house at 1:00. The Hilton's about 5 minutes from my house. |
| |
Satin Ballroom or "Sunset Ballroom"? Decisions, decisions.... ![]() |
| |
Margaritas anyone? The bar and restaurant are just steps away. ![]() |
| |
Laurel, sure, let's go 'til 7. |
| |
Let's do it. 2pm until 7pm. Weather reports say it should be 71 degrees on Saturday! I'll teach a lesson at 2pm, unless another SD teacher wants to do it and bring their own flyers to market their classes. Kathleen has offered to help out. One more person would be nice. If you can't be at my house at 1:00, you could be at LBtB by 1:30. |
| |
I'll be there to dj... |
| |
YES! |
| |
Oh, and Victor and Kacie from LA are coming down too. There going to bring others with them. They're coming all the way down for LBtB, then driving back up to Satin Ballroom afterwards!! Whoa, that's some serious driving just for LBtB!! |
| |
Thanks, Jeff! Geez, I hope I don't get stuck at work late... I totally forgot about the Satin Ballroom, Susan! I don't feel like driving all that way anyway. I don't want to be too tired for Billy Watson on Sunday, hah hah! |
| |
Laurel, call in sick. |
| |
Yippeeeee!!! Thanks Jeff! I'll be there with Nick (from MN) in tow. We have to leave kinda early (no later than 6) due to our scheduled evening activities, so everyone come EARLY!!! BTW, I'll spread the word to some of the LA/OC peeps when I see them tonight. Who knows? Maybe a few will decide to stay overnight and join us for Saturday... ~Lisa Rae |
| |
Well, everyone who goes early better stay late too or else I'll cry into my margarita! Jeff, of course I can't call in sick - too many responsibilities, darn it. But maybe I can sneak out early... |
| |
That was a lot of fun. I love LBTB on a sunny day! Good turnout, too, for a last-minute thing. I counted 40 at max. |
| |
Only 40? Sure seemed like more to me! I thought at least 50 or more were there. I only took in $28 . Next time I'll do a better job at letting people know how to donate. I didn't do a very good job at explaining it. Oh well, next time. No biggie. It was a blast!! |
| |
Thanks, again, Ron for DJing! |
| |
No problem, it was fun. How much does it cost you again? |
| |
And are you going to do it on a regular schedule again, soon? |
| |
you should talk to shawn about getting www.swingoarama.com/lindybythebay or something |
| |
No problem. |
| |
www.LindyByTheBay.com is registered by me. I just haven't done anything with it yet. Maybe because there's no money in it? Actually, I just don't have the time and expertise required to get it up and running. |
