Sorry Chance, my bad. I'll DJ at F2 sometime for you if I can DJ just by myself the whole night. I think last time you were offering a shared shift. In general, I've been pretty apathetic about djing recently. But I have some great new stuff and I'm excited to dj with the new stuff, so Jim's call was a case of perfect timing. I hosted Bernard & Anne-Helene over the Rendezvous weekend and I traded some songs with Bernard. He was here to teach Balboa, of course, but his music collection has considerable diversity of styles & tempos. I picked up some Balboa-appropriate tunes, some great slow groovy instrumental tunes, some songs by obscure European bands, and lots of songs by female vocalists at all tempos. I also got a lot of other new songs from other sources. So one more plug: All Things Swing at Dance North County on Saturday, April 17-- be there! |
