It's still on for TODAY! |
| |
LBtB is 2pm to 6pm again this Saturday the 28th. All women DJ's! I'll post more on it tomorrow. |
| |
Woo hoo, I hope to get off work in time to make it. I miss hanging out at LBtB. Hope to start again soon. |
| |
You didn't announce LbtB, is it on, and for late or for early? |
| |
It's on the calendar. 2-6pm. |
| |
Howdy all, Long lost lindy dancer Tammy here. I'm so out of it and confused. WHEN is Lindy by the bay? David and I have an out of town guest visiting from Australia and we thought we'd try to go out dancing. I thought LBTB would be good cuz I could bring the kids! |
| |
It's now Saturday nights from 6-10pm. I posted the new hours on the Swingorama front page. |
| |
Woo Hoo! I love late night LBtB! |
| |
Yeah Tammy and David are going to be out, babies and all! |
| |
Tammy and David! Yay!!! We'll look for ya. |
| |
Wow Tammy, great to hear from you. Shawn |
| |
Thanks all! It doesn't sound like it will be too, too late to bring out our little boppers! Coolio. I'm looking forward to getting my rusty legs moving again. See you there! |
| |
Found at LBTB last night: Lost Rubber Ducky. Ducky is small, yellow, and, well, rubber. No collar, but well groomed and well behaved. Answers to 'Ducky'. Ducky enjoys Balboa if placed in the right vantage spot. Ducky is a native So. Californian and says he's never been on an extensive ocean tour like many of his cousins. Ducky misses his momma. If you're missing your little rubber duck and can identify him, let me know... Otherwise I'll adopt him. Katherine |

What an AMAZING night!! Full moon, clear sky, cool breezes, great music, colorful fireworks, all enjoyed by around 100 dancers. |
| |
Andrew and I had a blast! Is there late night again next week? |
| |
Yup. Same time on the 19th. |
| |
Hey, Just wanted to give props to Jeff for keeping this venue going. David and I had a blast with our kids and will try to make this a regular gig! Thanks for bringing that little kid seat too, it really kept them entertained! It was so great dancing under the stars and the cool air and the fireworks. I know this sounds corny, but I really felt connected to the universe. Was anyone annoyed with having kids there? Seriously, was it too distracting for anyone. I don't want to be "the annoying swing dancers with kids," know what I mean? |
| |
My girlfriend brings her kid sometimes, Tania brings her kid, its cool, it seems pretty kid friendly. Even Harue goes. hehehe |
| |
Ron, that was funny! Are you okay? |
| |
Cool, thanks! I will continue to bring my kids. I may enlist a babysitter so I can dance more though! Harue??? I think I met her at Aubergine. David said she was a rad follow. |
| |
Its fun having kids there! The only thing you need to do is keep them out of the main dance space, for their safety and ours. Otherwise, no problem! |
| |
Yup! Especially the little guy. He's a bit clueless still. Can't wait for this Saturday. I'm trying to line up a sitter to corral the kids! I have an unrelated question: How are the lessons at 6:00pm? Are there a lot of people? What is taught and who teaches it? |
| |
Jeff, its on for Saturday, right? 6pm lesson, or is it dancing from 6pm? I've got some great new stuff to play. |
| |
Next LBtB is August 2nd, 6-10pm. I've been holding off on "Lindy by the Bay" for the "Last Saturdays" at Dance North County. Funny, I posted the cover before I even saw your question. I've been at Disneylands/California Adventure for the past 4 days and just got back an hour ago. |
| |
I can't remember where our other conversation about LbtB is, but my "Maybe" for this Saturday has turned to "Definitely". I can DJ this Saturday, Jeff. I'm looking forward to it! Haven't been to a LbtB for a while! |
