JUST ADDED: By popular request, we are having a FREE Intro-to-Swing Lesson from 8:30-9p (following our regular *90-Day Challenge* class from 7:30-8:30p). This class will be geared for the total beginner and will cover some fun basic swing turns to get you groovin' on the social dance floor.

8:30 intro class is FREE with paid adm to the dance -- All ages are welcome!

Annual Community Potluck Info: Hey beautiful dancers, thank you for your continued support of the Firehouse Swing Dance. You know, sometimes we are so busy dancing or catching up with our friends that we don't get to mix and mingle with other Firehouse dancers. So preceding our Closing Party, we're going to have our Firehouse Annual Community Potluck in the Cafe from 7:30-9p. We're hoping you'll come early to share a dish, meet someone new, and share a laugh or two before we party all night long. Yeah!

We've divided up the potluck dish categories by FIRST NAME. Please bring a dish from the appropriate category (Serving Size: 8-10pp) or if you have a Signature Dish that you're dying to share, by all means, forget about the categories and GO FOR IT!**

**Yummy Dishes from your own ETHNIC HERITAGE are highly encouraged!

Please bring Serving Utensils, if needed. We'll provide the drinks, eating utensils, plates, cups and napkins.

We're wrapping up the Potluck at 9p, so please come promptly at 7:30p to eat, socialize and share your yummy dishes and smiles with us.

About Whitney Shay & the Shakedowns: "Whitney Shay and The Shakedowns!" play an energetic blend of Swingin' Jump Blues, Rhythm & Blues of '50s and '60s, and Soulful tunes! As with many of the early R&B/Jump Blues bands of the '50s, the majority of this talented bunch have heavy backgrounds in jazz, which allows the band a greater versatility in the styles that it can play. Young pianist Ed Kornhauser is a heavyweight on the keys and brings a vibrant energy to the band, alongside seasonsed professionals Marley Waak on the drums and Berklee School of Music graduate Jodie Hill on the bass. Guitarist Jaz Jaszewski rounds out the bunch with his tasteful traditional blues style. Fronting the band is Miss Whitney Shay, whose sultry moves and powerhouse vocals will keep you dancing all night long!

Be prepared to SHAKE IT ON DOWN at the Firehouse Holiday Party!

12/15 UPDATE: VERY IMPORTANT NEWS!! I just got word from Alma at Queen Bee's that we can serve alcohol during our Firehouse Annual Community Potluck on Wed. 12/21 from 7:30-9p! However, there is ONE CONDITION: We must have the names of everyone coming to the Potluck on an RSVP LIST in order to serve the drinks.
