Since we are between swing class sessions (our next 6-week swing class session starts Thurs. June 1st), Emily and I have decided to offer a very special 2-week intensive focusing on the Lindy Swing Out starting this Thursday before the Firehouse dance. The Swing Out is the most essential yet the most challenging step of social Lindy dancing, and takes a lot of time and practice to master. Come jump start your dancing skills as we'll give you the basic tools to be able to execute this crucial step with just about anyone. Prior swing dance experience is recommended.

2-WEEK BEG. SWING OUT INTENSIVE

When: Thurs. May 18th & 25th
Where: The Firehouse in La Jolla
Time: 8-9p, both nights
Cost: $12/drop-in for 1 class, or $20 gets you both classes
As always, FREE admission to the Firehouse dance is included.

this sounds cool I was just thinking I forgot what a traditional swing out even feels like... thinks its time for a refresher ...

Eve and Carl, I'm glad to see your interest in this class. The Swing Out is the keystone of the dance, get the Swing Out and you get the dance. I'm always working on it, changing it up, and trying different ways of applying counterbalance, tension and connection. It's fun to change up my dancing so that I don't dance out of habit.

Come join us for Week 2 of our Swing Out Intensive tonight at the Firehouse from 8-9p. We will be reviewing the Swing Out Basic plus going over 3 leadable variations on the Basic. No matter how experienced a dancer you are, it's always good to go over your Basic.
