After securing the historic Balboa Pavilion for dancing, the next major goal of BR was to invite as many original dancers from that era to celebrate with us. Some people call them 'Old Timers'. I prefer the term 'Masters'. There are very few true Bal dancers left, and your only chance to see them all is on Sunday night of the Balboa Rendezvous.

Any current Balboa teacher will tout 'working with the old timers' as a rite of passage and a verification of their knowledge. Guess what? You can talk to them too, and work with them on Sunday night at the Balboa Pavilion.

Over the past 7 years we have had an average of 35 Masters for the special Q&A. This is part of the weekend that is not to be missed as they always amaze us with a new story or passing on advice.

Sadly over the years we have lost many of them and as each year goes by we will get closer to the time when the current generation of dancers become 'the masters' and share their stories of those we had the honor to meet. While there is still time, join us at the Balboa Rendezvous for this unique opportunity to meet them in person versus hearing stories from others.
