There are a lot of schools that teach various forms of swing dancing to beginners all around the world. Since the art form has was started in America, it is better to learn the swing dancing from schools in America. There are some forms of swing dance like the Lindy Hop and Jive or West Coast swing dancing that are majorly famous amongst the dance teachers. The big institutes offer these courses only. Although if you wish to learn the other forms of swing dancing, you can opt for private tutors which are a little more costly.

Another option to learn various form of swing dancing is from the internet. You will find many tutorial videos online which can be taken as a reference to the dance form. These videos are very accurate and can let you learn swing dancing for free. There are a lot of camps that offer swing dancing like Camp Hollywood, which is one of the biggest camps that teach swing dancing to the people of all ages and genders. They offer a few classes of swing dancing over the week and you can learn to swing dance like a pro. Although before going to such camps, it is advisable to have a little basic knowledge of the dance form.

Lindy in the Park

Lindy in the Park is an event that takes place in San Francisco every Sunday in the outdoors. They have been doing this ever since 1996, and many swingers come and join this event every week. Beginners can come and take free dancing lessons from some of the best swing dancers from 12.00  to 12.30 pm on Sundays.

Willowbrook Ballroom

This venue, Willowbrook Ballroom, has been hosting many swing events since 1998 and a lot of contests and lessons are held at this place.  The Swinger’s Ball that takes place here every year attracts a lot of dancers from all around the world.

Swing Fling at Sengelmann Hall

Sengelmann Hall is an old 19th century style dance hall that has all its designs done in the old vintage styles, including the pine flooring and mahogany bar. They hold some of the biggest swing parties and events that attract a lot of dancers from all over the world.

Midnight Summer Swing, Lincoln Center

This is an event that takes place at the New York Lincoln Center every year for a period of 15 days. These 15 days include various instructors from around the world teaching the students different style of dancing and this even includes some great swing dancing lessons.

London Swing Dance Society

If you want to learn swing dancing in London, head to the London Swing Dance Society’s retro nights that teach some amazing swing dancing moves. People from all over the place gather at the most beautiful historic places in the city and dance the Lindy Hop or the Foxtrot. There are three dance floors, and this usually takes place on Mondays and Saturdays.

There are many local classes that can be joined to learn swing dancing. Each place has its own form of swing dancing.
